Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist – Cincinnati, OH
As a Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security‑related incidents through your visible presence. This role blends patrol duties with strong customer service and communication, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Mon: 10:00 AM – 09:00 PM
- Thur: 10:00 AM – 09:00 PM
- Fri: 10:00 AM – 09:00 PM
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general questions, and support a professional presence aligned with healthcare location expectations.
- Communicate with staff, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security‑related concerns, policy issues, and incidents requiring follow‑up.
- At least 2 years of security‑related experience are required.
- Hospital‑required vaccinations are required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
