Security Officer​/Cargo Screener

Andy Frain Services seeks a Security Officer / Cargo Screener to protect cargo, personnel, and facilities within our Transportation & Logistics operations. In this Security & Law Enforcement role, you will screen cargo using X-ray and related technologies, verify documentation, and control access to secure areas in compliance with TSA and industry regulations. You will investigate and report security incidents, collaborate with transportation partners, and provide professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Screen cargo, baggage, and parcels using X-ray and other security equipment to detect prohibited items
• Verify shipping documents, IDs, and access credentials in compliance with transportation security regulations
• Conduct physical inspections, pat-downs, and bag checks as required by security protocols
• Monitor secured areas, docks, and access points to prevent unauthorized entry
• Report and document security incidents, discrepancies, and hazardous conditions
• Coordinate with law enforcement, transportation partners, and internal teams during security events
• Follow TSA, DOT, and company security procedures and maintain accurate screening logs
• Participate in ongoing security training, drills, and certification renewals
• Provide clear instructions and customer service to drivers, vendors, and employees during screening
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment while maintaining high attention to detail
