Executive Protection & Special Events Manager

EXECUTIVE PROTECTION & SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER Job Description

Develop and implement an executive protection strategy to mitigate evolving threats that may adversely impact key executives, special events, and high security risk travel. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Identify emerging security threats, trends, or changing geopolitical events which have the potential to impact associates, facilities, or operational stability
• Support all aspects of executive protection including itinerary management, logistics, ground transportation, and travel coordination
• Manage a comprehensive, risk based, safety and security program in support of the company executive leadership
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with intelligence peers and law enforcement agencies involved in the collection, evaluation and dissemination of security and intelligence information
• Manager EP vendors, equipment, technology, residential security initiatives, travel support and close protection duties.
• Conduct investigations, EP asset monitoring, and travel tracking programs
• Partner with members of the Behavioral Risk Intervention team on matters of threats against senior management or special events
• Develop knowledge of evolving best practices through peer benchmarking, law enforcement liaison, industry events/associations, and educational opportunities
• Cultivate and maintain relationships external relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners, local prosecutors, and Department of Justice Assistant U.S. Attorneys
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry peers; actively participate in forums, round tables, and other presentation for trade organizations
• Support development, implementation, and compliance of Corporate Security best practice programs
• Author corporate policies related to Executive Protection
• Submit routine Executive Protection reporting to leadership
• Interact with technology teams/vendors to enhance technology to impact Corporate Security Initiatives
• Partner with HR, Legal Compliance and other functions on confidential cases and critical incidents
• Conduct site advances (in-person or remotely) to assess on-site and off-site event venues
• Travel extensively to off-site locations as needed

Minimum

• 5 years of law enforcement, executive protection, security management, corporate security, or a related field
• Knowledge and experience in law enforcement procedures and processes
• Profound understanding of threat assessment, risk management, and crisis response
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Capacity to think critically and respond swiftly to evolving situations
• Demonstrated success managing volatile situations and ability to interact with all levels of the public.
• Strong leadership experience in security operations or related field
• Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
• Associate or bachelor’s degree
