Job Description
Performs preventive maintenance, repair and construction service to a variety of building and furnishings components.
Responsibilities- Inspect, hang, and adjust doors and swings.
- Repairs door locks and door hardware including locksets, panic devices, sweeps, astragels, and hinges; repair auto door.
- Install and repair casework, shelving, and furniture of various types.
- Remove, construct, and repair walls and ceilings.
- Assists other staff with maintenance and construction projects as directed.
- Maintain and repair shop equipment as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on miscellaneous equipment and doors/hardware.
Education: High School Diploma
Years of
Experience:
4 years preferred
- 4 years of carpentry experience; ability to work from drawings; working knowledge of cabinetry construction and laminates; working knowledge of door hardware and locking devices; ability to read blueprints.
- Accredited apprenticeship program preferred.
Works weekends, shifts and holidays as required.
