Overview
Xavier University is seeking a full-time plumber. Key duties include performing preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, troubleshooting issues in various building systems, and managing work orders through the campus's maintenance system. Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, pipes, and other plumbing materials throughout campus buildings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing and related systems such as water and drainage.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems to prevent future issues and ensure continuous operation.
- Complete and manage work orders using the campus’s computer maintenance management system.
- High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, maintenance, or a similar facilities role is typically required, often 3-5 years.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with standard plumbing tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, working from ladders, or in confined spaces.
- A valid driver's license.
