The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports Greenacres’ diverse properties including houses, barns, offices, retail spaces, and event facilities by performing skilled carpentry, construction, and general maintenance tasks. This role is hands‑on and project‑driven, ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys variety in their work, and values the care of historic and high‑end properties. The Technician will contribute to renovations, repairs, preservation, and preventive maintenance while ensuring all facilities remain safe, functional, and aligned with Greenacres’ high standards.
Job Responsibilities- Perform a variety of different level carpentry and construction tasks including wood, drywall, flooring, decks, doors, windows, and finish carpentry.
- Assist with facility upgrades, small renovations, and special projects.
- Support general building maintenance including painting, plumbing, minor electrical, masonry, and HVAC support.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Document and track all work in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Assist with safety protocols, emergency response, and seasonal needs (e.g., winterization, storm preparation).
- Support event setup and cross‑departmental facility requests.
- Oversee contractors for small projects and ensure all work meets quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with codes and Greenacres standards.
- 5–7 years of experience in carpentry, construction, and general facility maintenance (3–5 years may be considered with strong trade skills).
- Skilled in carpentry with additional working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, and general building systems. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug screen
