Position SummaryMechanical Optimizers is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. This position requires a motivated professional who can work independently while delivering exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems and equipment
- Replace and startup multiple types of HVAC equipment
- Communicate issues, recommendations, and solutions clearly with customers
- Share relevant customer information with service and sales teams following service visits
- Respond to emergency service calls during and after normal business hours
- Complete work orders, timecards, and job‑related documentation accurately and professionally
- Perform duties in varying weather and challenging job site conditions
- Identify and report unsafe or hazardous conditions
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training opportunities
- Utilize service operations technology while working in the field
- Minimum 5 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
- EPA certification required
- Kentucky Journeyman License preferred
