Diesel Maintenance Technician (C)
Job Overview:
Vehicle Technician C will work closely with an experienced technician to gain the knowledge and ability to perform maintenance and repairs on all types of customers’ vehicles and equipment. The role requires independent job execution, the ability to recognize potential problems that could cause mechanical failures or safety violations, and a focus on continuous learning.
Working Hours:
Available Shifts – 2nd Shift, Monday‑Friday 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Pay:
Starting at $31.00 per hour, with a pay range of $31.00–$31.40 per hour and additional shift differential pay.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to identify major components.
- Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills.
- Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires.
- Ability to diagnose and repair lights and wiring.
- Adherence to company uniform and appearance standards.
- Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions for tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Capability to drive company equipment, including Class 8 tractors.
- Flexibility to work an adjustable schedule, including variations in start and end times, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills.
- Each technician must provide their own tools.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to 12 months of relevant work experience or knowledge acquired through experience.
- D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification.
