Summary

Service Mobile Technician – responsible for diagnosing and completing repairs on heavy and medium duty trucks while working from a mobile service unit. Requires extensive expertise, independence, and adherence to the highest safety standards for operating vehicles and equipment.

  • Perform recommended routine maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests for issues, failures, and performance.
  • Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
  • Utilize computerized equipment and specialized tooling routinely.
  • Complete assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner.
  • Accurately record time, cause, and correction on repair orders.
  • Test components that may be required to drive trucks before and after repairs.
  • Participate in and complete technical training and professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with repair order processing software.
  • Valid driver’s license required; a current Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Valid medical certificate (FMCSA) required for the mobile technician position.
  • Must maintain a safe driving record.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Working hours may include evenings, weekends, on‑call, or emergency repair shifts.
  • Knowledge of heavy‑duty diesel engine maintenance and repairs.
