Job Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Network infrastructure, PA Systems, Fire Alarm, and other PC‑based systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, and specifications.
- Perform installation and verification activities for large security‑related equipment installations, including installing, testing, and commissioning.
- Complete “As Built” drawings upon project completion.
- Prepare and submit reports for customers; conduct system acceptance tests with AHJ’s and other interested parties.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product lines and consult with clients to assess risk and determine security requirements.
- Obtain an Ohio fire license within 180 days of starting employment and maintain it for the duration of employment.
- Obtain a Kentucky Fire Alarm License within 1 year of starting employment and maintain it for the duration of employment.
- Will participate in an emergency on‑call rotation after 6 months of employment.
- Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming, and testing.
- Completion of an Electronic Technician program or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license; must pass a driving background check.
- Preferred: experience supporting analog, hybrid and IP CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, wireless, intrusion systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of local and national codes for installation, inspection and testing.
- Proficiency in operating computers and MS operating systems, including Windows 2000 Server.
- Ability to configure PC hardware and application programs.
- Experience with computer networking; design or assist in low voltage applications is desirable.
- Understanding of technical system architecture and strong troubleshooting skills with electronic test equipment.
- Good communication skills; solid understanding of communication protocols and customer service.
Pay Range: $19.10 – $31.60 per hour (determined by CBA/rate sheet). Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. Candidates with exceptional skills may be considered for higher compensation.
