Location: Queensgate Ops Center, 424 Gest St, Cincinnati, OH 45203
DUTIES- Assisting employees of higher classification in their work, including supplying them with tools, instruments, materials and equipment.
- Caring for tools, instruments, materials, and equipment used in the work.
- Operating power driven hand tools, such as air hammers, electric drills; sharpening drills, using emery wheel and using taps.
- Operating torches, handling solder, removing insulation from wires, etc.
- Tinning and soldering joints and lugs.
- Bending, cutting and threading conduit and pipe by hand.
- Driving a truck or other Company vehicles on a limited basis, such as to and from job site, when required; and other driving incidental with performance of duties.
- Acquiring a working knowledge of safety rules, first-aid and safety and fire‑fighting equipment used on the system.
- Performing other similar or less skilled work.
Must meet the Company's requirements as to GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have acquired a knowledge of the use and care of the more common tools used in the work.
- Must be capable of passing the Company's drivers examination and possess the necessary driver's license, including the appropriate Commercial Drivers License.
- Must possess and demonstrate through testing an aptitude for mechanical and electrical work.
- Must possess and demonstrate ability to climb structures and extension ladders, and work at elevated levels.
- Ability to successfully complete the Construction and Skilled Trade (CAST-R) Testing.
- Ability to obtain a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Due to OSHA imposed regulations, the body weight limit is imposed at 285 lbs. or less.
- Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility.
5-15%.
