HELP is seeking a motivated Drywall Patch & Repair Apprentice to join our Plumbing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in the skilled trades. You'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to repair drywall and stucco following plumbing repairs while developing valuable construction and finishing skills.
We provide on-the-job training and mentorship to help you build confidence and advance your career. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and enjoys hands‑on work in a fast‑paced environment. This is an hourly, non‑exempt position reporting to the Plumbing Manager. Overtime may be available based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Learn to repair drywall and stucco after plumbing work is completed to match surrounding textures and finishes.
- Assist with painting, color matching, and texture application using the proper materials and techniques.
- Safely use and maintain hand and power tools, including hoppers, brushes, caulking guns, and other trade equipment.
- Prepare work areas by removing damaged materials and cleaning up debris.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Document completed work and communicate job status with Install Coordinators.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Support the Plumbing Department with additional tasks as assigned while continuing to develop your trade skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous construction or drywall experience is helpful but not required—we’re willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Able to follow instructions and work independently as skills develop.
- Comfortable working in residential homes and on active job sites.
- Ability to use or learn to use basic hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.

Pay Range: $18 – $20 per hour.
