Overview
Controls Technician at A&P Technology, a seventh generation, family-owned, world-leading producer of precision braided textiles. The Controls Technician will construct and maintain control systems to support new and existing equipment, including building and maintaining control cabinets/panels, configuration programming, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications
- Build and install automation control systems (electrical/pneumatic)
- Configure servo, PLC, and HMI hardware
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems and equipment
- Collaborate with a multi-functional team to optimize and implement automation solutions and manufacturing process improvements
- Familiarity with control system wiring and pneumatics
- Experience using hand and power tools, fault-testing equipment, and soldering
- Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable personality and willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
