Overview
Field Service Technician for the Pump Rental Branch located in Buckner, KY. This hands-on role involves installing, servicing, delivering, and operating temporary pump and piping systems used on water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the surrounding region. Local and regional travel to job sites is required. The position provides in-house training, steady hours with overtime opportunities, and a company vehicle for travel to job sites.
Location:
Buckner, KY
Pay: from $18.50/hr (entry level) up to $21/hr (experienced), with substantial overtime. Incremental pay increases as training is completed and proficiency in specific tasks is achieved. Benefits include generous PTO and a comprehensive benefits plan.
Responsibilities- Provide service, installation, delivery, and operation support for temporary portable pump and piping systems used in municipal, industrial, and construction markets.
- Load/unload pump and pump equipment on and off vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Operate lifting equipment (forklifts, extended boom forklifts, skid steers, tow motors, etc.) as needed.
- Complete documentation associated with customer rented deliverables.
- Participate in a rotating schedule of after-hours emergency response and on-call work.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards on job sites.
- Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs as required.
- 1-3 years of construction labor experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to load/unload equipment and operate lifting machinery; experience with forklifts, skid steers, and related equipment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening, a background check, and Form I-9 verification.
- Physical ability to bend, squat, reach, lift 25 lbs or more, and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
- Ability to participate in a rotating schedule of after-hours emergency response and on-call work.
- Experience documenting aspects of customer-delivered equipment and services.
- Exposure to petro-chemical refineries, mills, mines, construction sites, industrial/power plants, wastewater treatment plants, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Company-provided safety equipment and consumables; company vehicle for travel to job sites.
