MSD is looking for a Special Project Journeyman to join our team!
Join Our Team as a Special Projects Journeyman: A Diverse and Dynamic Role in HVAC, and RefrigerationAre you a skilled trades professional with a passion for hands‑on work and solving complex challenges? We’re looking for an experienced Special Projects Journeyman to join our growing team. In this exciting role, you’ll have the opportunity to perform a variety of specialized tasks in HVAC, and Refrigeration for commercial clients. As a knowledgeable and client‑focused expert, you’ll be pivotal in ensuring the successful completion of diverse and dynamic projects.
Minimum Requirements- 5+ years’ experience installing one or more of the following:
- Package and Split systems
- Refrigeration Piping
- Basic electrical systems
- Plumbing
- Sheet Metal
- EPA Refrigerant certification
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state approved apprenticeship program is one of the disciplines preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
- Basic HVAC or Plumbing hand tools
- Unencumbered US Driver’s license
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
Job Duties
- Install, repair, or removal of key equipment, supplies, and materials directly on the job site, ensuring efficient and effective execution of each project.
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to coordinate installation procedures, troubleshooting efforts, and share best practices to meet project objectives.
- Conduct on‑site visits to assess project requirements, define processes, and ensure timely, high‑quality results.
- Perform thorough inspections after installation to guarantee everything meets our high standards of safety and functionality.
- Oversee the ordering, receiving, and tracking of all materials and supplies required to complete assigned projects, ensuring no delays or disruptions.
- Keep accurate logs of time, materials, and supplies, and submit detailed reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry standards and requirements by attending training and maintaining necessary certifications/licenses.
