Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Field Services Technician III to join our safety‑conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for hazardous waste clean‑up, site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials, with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
  • Use a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection in multiple combinations.
  • Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work in atmospheres and locations with potential exposure to chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
  • Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and areas of low clearance.
  • Operate safely at elevations, including ladders and scaffolding.
  • Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration.
  • Climb ladders, scaffolding, and into and out of trucks, tanks, and various containers.
  • Work extended periods (> 8 hours) as needed.
  • Attend all compliance and safety update meetings.
  • Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Safely load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
  • Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling when necessary.
  • Complete associated paperwork, including worksheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and permits.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, and federal requirements.
  • Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
  • Observe company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
  • Perform lead responsibilities as required by the position.
Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform physical functions required by the Key Responsibilities.
  • Commitment to emergency response; on occasion work on weekends, holidays, and extended periods (up to 12-24 hours).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Field Service Technician work.
  • Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical examination.
  • Adherence to OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.34); meet facial hair standards in respirator positions.
  • Valid driver's license.
