We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic in the Forest Park area of Ohio. Pay negotiable between $28 - $35 per hour!
A fourth-generation, family-owned steel company specializing in rebar manufacturing, fabrication, and metal recycling, with operations rooted in a unique mill that repurposes retired train axles into finished steel products. Founded in 1937, it has grown through a focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer-driven service, supplying materials for construction projects across its regional market.

Diesel Mechanic Details:
- Direct hire position
- $28.00 to $35.00 / hour
- Full time work available
- First shift (Monday through Friday)
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Properly diagnose malfunctions. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Keep all DOT inspections on all trucks and trailers current.
Diesel Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of training and/or experience as a truck/trailer mechanic.
- Knowledge of DEF systems a plus!
- Valid driver's license, Class A license a plus!
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
