Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician to join our team. As the Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in top condition. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of Cummins and CAT equipment with the ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and efficiently.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles such as Front and Rear Concrete Mixers, Dump Truck, and Loader including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
- Troubleshoot any issues with WABCO vehicle control systems and ABS systems
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on fleet vehicles
- Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns with fleet vehicles
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL preferred (Hilltop can assist with obtaining license)
- Completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles
- Preferred experience with Cummins equipment, CAT equipment, and Allison transmissions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
