Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced HVACA Chiller Technician to service, install, and repair HVAC, chiller, and refrigeration equipment for both existing and new accounts in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, major inspections, retrofits, and tear-downs on complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong refrigeration background, excellent electrical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics and work with Building Management Systems.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service/Install/Repair in an efficient and safe manner to assigned HVAC, Chiller, and Refrigeration equipment/duties for existing and new accounts.
- Working knowledge of all mechanical systems including trouble shooting, repair, and maintain complex mechanical HVAC equipment helpful.
- Have some working knowledge of PC’s, application software, and Building Management Systems.
- Have working knowledge of schematic reading.
- Will be responsible for performing chiller PMs, troubleshooting/repairs, overhauls, major inspections, retrofits and tear downs.
- Maintain record of work performed and parts/materials used.
- Utilizes company and vendor resources.
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
- Ability to follow schedules and budgets.
- Wear company uniform and required safety PPE, perform job hazard analysis.
- Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication.
- Interact with customer by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call.
- Be able to explain technical information, effectively and professionally to technical and not-technical audience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To best meet the needs of our organization and customers, the right person will meet the following qualifications:
- Strong refrigeration background
- Minimum 5 years field experience
- Great customer service skills
- Good electrical skills
- Refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated team player.
