The Licensed Journeyman Plumber is responsible for performing plumbing service, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities for residential and commercial customers in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable codes. This role works independently on routine service calls while supporting operational efficiency, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and related equipment.
- Perform plumbing troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and service work in accordance with company standards and applicable codes.
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, diagrams, and service documentation to complete assignments accurately and efficiently.
- Identify plumbing issues and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality and operational performance.
- Coordinate with field personnel, supervisors, customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding service activities, material needs, and job updates.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, inspection reports, and jobsite documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, plumbing codes, and operational standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
- Support jobsite organization, material management, and operational efficiency during service activities.
- Provide professional customer interactions and communicate service recommendations and repair information clearly to customers.
- Assist with training and supporting entry-level service technicians as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

RequiredSkills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems, troubleshooting procedures, service practices, and plumbing codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple service calls and priorities in fast-paced field environments.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and customer service expectations.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, plumbing equipment, testing devices, and mobile technology.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a field service team.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks.
- English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous plumbing service, repair, installation, or related field experience preferred.
- Completion of plumbing trade training or apprenticeship preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Use ladders, hand tools, plumbing equipment, service materials, testing devices, and mobile devices.
- Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
- Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
- Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site…
