As an Intake Specialist, you'll be the welcoming voice and guiding hand that helps youth and families connect with the services they need. Whether you're answering a call, meeting with someone in person, or ensuring important information is entered accurately, your work creates the foundation for meaningful support and positive outcomes.

What You'll Be DoingNo two days are exactly alike, but you'll spend your time:
- Welcoming and connecting with youth and families seeking services.
- Completing intakes and processing referrals with care, accuracy, and compassion.
- Determining program eligibility and gathering required documentation.
- Entering intake information into agency databases while ensuring data accuracy.
- Enrolling youth in the GOSH system to meet funding requirements.
- Supporting individuals who may be experiencing crisis, both in person and over the phone.
- Working alongside program staff to ensure client information, service utilization, and outcome data are complete and accurate.
- Training and supporting team members on data entry processes and electronic systems.
- Creating and maintaining reports and database queries that help measure program success and improve services.
- Helping ensure our programs meet regulatory, contractual, and reporting requirements.

This position is based in a professional office located within a homeless shelter, where you'll work alongside a dedicated team making a real impact every day.
Physical RequirementsThis role includes a mix of desk work and movement throughout the day. You'll regularly:
- Communicate with clients, coworkers, and community partners.
- Stand, walk, and move throughout the office.
- Use computers and office equipment.
- Occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds.
Most work takes place during regular business hours, with occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays to best support clients and program needs.
Some regional travel is required, including transporting clients using a personal vehicle when needed.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of professional experience in social services
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field
- Experience providing case management services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity
