Overview
Our client is a large United States financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati. It operates a significant branch and ATM network across several states and is ranked on the Fortune 500. The organization has grown through mergers and continues to invest in technology to serve retail and commercial customers.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $62.00 to $72.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs used by iOS and Android applications.
- Build and maintain microservices in a cloud-native environment.
- Integrate backend services with mobile capabilities such as authentication, push notifications, and analytics pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and observability across backend services.
- Collaborate with mobile, web, Dev Ops, and product teams to deliver features.
- Maintain technical documentation and uphold engineering best practices.
- Participate in the full SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, and production support.
- 5+ years of hands-on backend development using Java.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems.
- Proficiency with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS or EKS, S3, API Gateway, and RDS or Dynamo
DB. - Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Experience using Dynatrace and/or Splunk for monitoring and logging.
- Understanding of backend support for mobile apps including authentication, performance, and scalability.
- Experience with RAG patterns, vector databases, or embeddings (preferred).
- Familiarity with model safety evaluations or responsible AI frameworks (preferred).
- Prior work building prototypes or proof-of-concept AI tools (preferred).
- Understanding of secure coding principles and adversarial AI risks (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- AWS certification (preferred).
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
