Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Cincinnati, OH
. This role requires strong senior‑level expertise in Kafka and Java microservices to meet core technical expectations.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Designing and developing enterprise‑grade microservices and market‑facing APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
• Contributing to overall solution architecture, including containerization, API design, caching strategies, Dev Ops practices, and database integration.
• Performing hands‑on coding, technical implementation, and code reviews for high‑quality, scalable solutions.
• Collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, Staff Engineers, Product, and Delivery teams to define technical requirements and implementation approaches.
• Leading and mentoring remote engineering teams across geographies, providing guidance on distributed systems and best‑practice development patterns.
• Building cloud‑native, low‑latency, high‑throughput system components aligned with modern architectural principles and platform‑level design.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6–8 years of professional experience in advanced Java development, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in Kafka, Spring Boot, and enterprise‑grade microservices with hands‑on coding and architectural design responsibilities.
• Experience building cloud‑native, low‑latency, high‑throughput systems and collaborating with cross‑functional and remote engineering teams.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
