Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a banking client and help build modern, high-quality backend services. You’ll be a hands-on member of an agile squad, contributing across architecture, development, testing, and delivery while helping elevate engineering standards and best practices.

• Design and deliver new features while improving application quality, performance, and reliability
• Work hands-on within an agile squad, participating in ceremonies and team collaboration
• Contribute to system design and architecture; write clean, testable, and maintainable code using TDD
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support operational excellence through automation and production readiness
• Engage in engineering communities of practice

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience with Java (17+) and Spring / Spring Boot
• Experience building microservice-based backend services
• Familiarity with agile/scrum development practices
• Experience with Git, Git Hub, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, JFrog), and Docker
• Solid understanding of secure, modern software development practices
