Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Cincinnati, OH
. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Azure cloud services, distributed data processing, and enterprise‑grade data pipeline engineering.
Rate Range: $53.03/hour to $68.18/hour

Job Responsibilities Include
- Develop distributed data pipelines and multi‑step transformation workflows using Python and cloud‑native tools.
- Build and maintain automated data quality checks, observability alerts, and monitoring for large‑scale data processes.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
- Write and test object‑oriented transformation logic, including unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, mentor junior engineers, and support improvements to existing applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed computing (PySpark or Snowpark).
- Experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP; CI/CD pipelines;
Git/Git Hub;
PyTest; and dependency management (Conda, venv). - Strong understanding of OOP principles, Java/Spring, data observability, data quality processes, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code, debugging enterprise applications, and Agile Scrum methodologies.

Pay Details$53.03 to $68.18 per hour
