Software Implementation Engineer

We are further strengthening our Kardex Auto Store organization and searching for a Software Implementation Engineer (m/f/d).

• The software implementation engineer core responsibility is to successfully test, train and deploy the Kardex Fulfill
  
  X software platform for our customers.
• He/she will develop all training of Fulfill
  
  X within the outlined scope of work and test all IT hardware and software aspects of the system prior to handover to the customer.
• The software implementation engineer will work in a position that is a blend of warehouse operations, software, IT hardware and project leadership.
• The software implementation engineer is highly motivated to work in a startup environment and is open for a wide range of tasks to support the growth of the overall team.
• Configure and test Kardex software system to fit customer specifications and efficiently run automated systems to the customer’s needs
• Develop and execute internal, interface and integrated test plans with the Auto Store system, Kardex software system, client host systems and other technologies that may be integrated with the solution
• Work closely with the Integration Engineer and perform end-to-end testing of the entire integrated system with focus on the Fulfill

• Perform all necessary trainings of customer personnel on the Fulfill
  
  X software system
• Support the customer during the post-handover ramp up period
• Travel to project sites, for sometimes a few weeks on one trip. Total travel estimate is 30% to 40%
• Travel domestically for training opportunities

• Contribute to the development feedback of the Kardex functional and interface specifications
• Develop internal Fulfill
  
  X internal software test plan
• Lead the software factory acceptance test for the customer prior to on-site end-to-end testing
• Develop customer training documentation for FulFillX
• Perform on-site customer training for FulFillX
• Develop integrated Fulfill
  
  X test cases and test plan for the overall integrated system with focus
• Perform integrated testing of the Auto Store, Kardex software, customer host systems and other integrated technologies for the project

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, IT, or software fields
• 3+ years’ experience with work with software and/or deployments of automation systems, Auto Store experience a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent troubleshooting ability, software, and IT hardware acumen
• Experience working in a project team in a project and construction-like environment
• Ability to use MS office suite and other similar software programs

• Ability to establish effective working relationships across the boundaries
• Self-driven, result oriented with positive outlook to success
• Ability to coach and teach the customer on best practices and process improvement as it relates to the Kardex provided scope
