Primary Location:

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring Software Engineer - Java, Backend III for our premier client in Cincinnati, OH.
Education and Experience »
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience designing backend systems that support mobile applications
- 3-10 years of hands-on backend development using Java
- Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (or similar tools)
- Experience using Dynatrace and/or Splunk for monitoring and logging
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture
- Proficiency with AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, RDS/Dynamo
DB, etc.) - Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
- Strong knowledge of Java, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, message queues, and API security
- Understanding of backend support for mobile apps (authentication, performance, scalability)
Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs used by collections space
- Build and maintain microservices in a cloud-native environment
- Integrate backend services with mobile-specific capabilities (authentication, push notifications, analytics pipelines, etc.)
- Perform code reviews, debugging, monitoring, and performance tuning
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and observability across backend services
- Collaborate with mobile, web, Dev Ops, and product teams.
