Job Description

OverviewWe’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our ever‑evolving Express team and help shape the future of global commerce.
Responsibilities- Lead technical designs of new features and services, performing investigations, code analysis, and delivering high‑quality features through design, development, testing, and release.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, Dev Ops, and other stakeholders across Worldpay to brainstorm and select optimal solutions within system constraints.
- Assist with investigation of live system issues and propose root‑cause solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and attend all SAFe/Agile related ceremonies.
- Assess the impact of architectural decisions on security, availability, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- Minimum 7 years of experience delivering software solutions, with 4+ years of experience in system architecture and design for scalable enterprise applications.
- Hands‑on experience with Kafka and an understanding of business drivers.
- Proven experience deploying and managing distributed applications and services on Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience designing and developing cloud‑based solutions on Azure and AWS, including microservices architecture, API development using .NET 6+, and leveraging Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Open Shift to ensure scalability, resilience, security, and high availability.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; excellent technical design, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
- Self‑driven with the ability to deliver on ambiguous technical challenges with incomplete data.
- Ability to lead deep internal engineering conversations on potential strategies to improve Azure Data Services and own the input end to end.
- Prior experience leading cloud migration projects within a highly regulated industry.
Full‑time position with a good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire of $–$. The actual starting salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. The range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location.
