Forward Deployed Engineer

A transportation client is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its newly formed Enterprise Data Platform team and drive adoption of modern data and application engineering practices across the organization. This engineer will partner closely with business and technical stakeholders to build and deploy production-ready, data-driven applications on top of the enterprise data platform, remaining hands-on across architecture, coding, data modeling, and delivery.

The role is focused on advancing the company's Single Source of Truth (SSOT) initiative by connecting data across business domains, building and managing domain-specific data pipelines, and implementing data mastering and transformation rules as information moves through the MDM ecosystem. Leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, Postgres, dbt, AWS, Power BI, and AI-assisted development tools like Claude, the engineer will establish scalable development patterns, enhance engineering velocity, support analytics engineering best practices, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure business needs are translated into reliable, high-quality data solutions.
