Job Description:
This role is structured as a close partnership with the PGIM Chief Architect and the PGIM Architecture team. The consultant will not own every area end to end, but will actively contribute to planning, drive execution, and absorb day-to-day work that currently sits with the PGIM Architecture team.

Co-author and maintain PGIM-specific reference architectures, design patterns, guidelines, and best practices for Azure, .NET, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and integration scenarios. Codify these as structured artifacts and Markdown optimized for consumption by coding agents (Claude Code, MCP-aware tooling, and IDE-integrated assistants), enabling agent-driven adoption of PGIM standards directly in developer workflows. - Architecture Strategy and CTO Alignment:
Help drive the connective layer between PGIM affiliate architecture and the central CTO Enterprise Architecture function, supporting alignment, reducing duplication, and accelerating shared decision-making. - Application Modernization Architecture:
Contribute to solution architecture and design for new and modernized platforms built on Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform, supporting affiliates such as Fixed Income, Private Capital, Real Estate, Jennison, Quantitative Solutions, and Global Wealth/Investments. - AI Strategy and Enablement:
Bring technical depth on PGIM's AI capabilities including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform Copilot, Copilot Studio, and agentic platform patterns. Help shape enterprise guidance on responsible AI adoption, model selection, and reusable AI building blocks. - Data Platform Architecture:
Provide architectural input across Microsoft Fabric (One Lake, Lakehouse, Data Factory F1), Microsoft Purview, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, Azure PostgreSQL, and ADLS Gen
2. Help guide affiliates through Fabric maturity, domain activation, and governance rollout. - Developer Experience and SDLC AI Integration:
Co-author the AI strategy for the developer and architecture SDLC, integrating common CTO tooling (Git Hub, Terraform, Claude Code, Azure Dev Ops, Dynatrace) with internal platforms to deliver a cohesive, productive developer experience. - Skills, MCPs, and Reusable Assets:
Author Claude Skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, prompt libraries, and reusable automation components. Mentor engineering and architecture teams on adopting these assets and contributing back to a shared catalog. - Engineering and Architecture Council Support:
Support the Engineering Council and Architecture Council as a working contributor, helping ensure bi-directional information flow between architecture intent and engineering execution. - EARB Submission Support:
Assist with preparation, review, and shepherding of EARB submissions on behalf of PGIM, including technical writeups, architecture diagrams, and follow-up artifacts. - Team Engagement and Office
Hours:
Hold regular office hours and direct engagement sessions with affiliate development teams to provide architectural guidance, unblock design decisions, and review proposed solutions, absorbing engagement work currently handled directly by the PGIM Chief Architect. - Documentation and Knowledge Management:
Produce and maintain all architecture documentation in Confluence and Markdown only, ensuring artifacts remain current,…
