Western Athletic Club is seeking an experienced, dynamic Head Tennis Professional with a primary focus on Junior Development to join our leadership team.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional with 3–5+ years of teaching experience who has demonstrated success developing junior players while also confidently teaching adults at all levels. The position offers the opportunity to lead, grow, and shape our junior pathway within a strong, community-driven club environment.
The Head Tennis Professional will:
- Lead and oversee junior development programming (Red Ball through advanced/high performance)
- Design curriculum and structured player pathways
- Develop competitive juniors and guide tournament players
- Teach private and group lessons for juniors and adults of all levels
- Run and manage tournaments
- Mentor and collaborate with staff professionals
- Build strong relationships with families and adult members
- Contribute to overall tennis department leadership and growth
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional teaching experience
- Proven experience in junior development and competitive player progression
- Strong ability to teach adults (beginner through advanced)
- Leadership presence and excellent communication skills
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented mindset
- Entrepreneurial approach to building programs and lesson base
- USPTA/PTR certification preferred or will help with certification during the first year
