Recreation Program Leader; Y2Wk Junior Lifeguard -14 Years Old

Responsibilities

Implements recreation activities by providing direct service while assisting CRC staff in an outdoor aquatic environment at one of CRC’s Pools. May assist in the planning and promotion of an activity/program or assist in the development, planning and implementation of a recreation program. May use a specific skill needed to implement a specialized recreation program. Must be willing to take direction from supervisors and managers.

Must follow Department of Recreation rules, regulations and guidelines, especially those relating to safety and customer service.

• Must be a youth, 14 years of age, meeting City residency and household income guidelines.
• Must have a valid work permit (14 and 15 years old) or parental consent (16 and 17 years old).
• Must complete application and submit supplemental parental forms.
• Must attend 20 hour orientation/training session.
• None, except where required by employer.
• Various, depending on particular assignment.
