Early Morning Group Exercise Instructor (Transportation)

We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as an Early Morning Group Exercise Instructor at the ME Lyons YMCA in Anderson Twp., OH. The ideal candidate will lead group exercise classes in the early morning hours (between 5am-8am) to help our members start their day off on the right foot. We are open to any class format.

Starting pay is $14.33/hour. Benefits may include free individual YMCA membership, paid time‑off, program discounts, and optional retirement savings plan.

• Lead group exercise classes in a safe and effective manner
• Create a positive and motivating environment for class participants
• Understand the needs and goals of participants and provide them with a positive, enjoyable environment in which to achieve their fitness goals
• Provide quality group exercise class that begins and ends on time, follows the scheduled class format, and is at the proper intensity level
• Respect the individual goals, needs and perspectives of each member
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in, and dedication to improving the health and fitness of clients
• Arrive early to set up equipment and greet participants
• Maintain a clean and organized exercise space

• Certification in group exercise instruction (e.g. ACE, AFAA, NASM)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ideally has experience teaching for 2+ years
• Must possess CPR/AED/02 and First Aid certifications prior to hire, and must maintain current certifications during employment
• Must pass an audition
• Must complete YUSA trainings within three (3) months of employment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire class participants
• Reliable and punctual
