Summary/Objective

The Dispatch Coordinator position within Meda Care Transportation Inc. serves as the liaison between dispatch and Russian speaking drivers. The Dispatch Coordinator serves a critical role in the success of Meda Care’s service.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Language Skills
  • Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with agencies and clients.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
    This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Duties
  • Responsible for daily communication with drivers, dispatch, partner agencies, and the call center.
  • Ensure school trip information is updated as required by the schools or agencies in which we provide services. Ex. Mt Healthy, DPCR, Norwood, Assured Transportation, ACCEL, etc.
  • Identify pattern No Shows and notify the proper school or agency that scheduled the services.
  • Communicate with customers to reduce no-shows.
  • Retrieving information on customers and solving any problems from a logistics standpoint.
  • Enter vehicle work orders into Fleetio.
  • Running reports as required.
  • Work with Dispatch to schedule vehicle maintenance services.
  • May need to take calls when short-staffed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High School Degree or similar Degree level required.
  • Have two years of experience in customer service.
  • Possess basic computer literacy, Word, and Excel.
  • Be knowledgeable of scanners, fax, and photocopy machines.
  • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record
