• Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes.
• Collect empty cylinders from customers and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Address customer inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance.
• Present a professional appearance and maintain the vehicle’s condition.
• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations.
• Communicate changes or issues to the manager or the customer’s Airgas sales associate promptly.
• Maintain load manifests and all required vehicle documents, ensuring proper completion and reconciliation with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Ensure vehicle manifests, vehicle placards, cylinder labeling, and load nesting and strapping comply with Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and all government regulations.
• Work in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment).
• At least one year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years, with a clean driving record (no more than two convictions; or up to two at‑fault accidents in the last three years; or a combination of one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years).
• Alternatively, a diploma from an accredited driving school or a combination of driving experience and prior Airgas‑specific experience may be considered.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Preferred:
  High School Diploma or equivalent;
  Forklift Experience;
  Touch freight delivery experience.
