Position SummaryAs part of our transportation team, you will help process donated goods. Re‑sellable items are used to support our mission of helping people with disabilities and our nation's veterans to go to work. Drivers transport donated goods across our network of stores and donation centers.
Minimum Requirements- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must have a valid Class A CDL license.
- Good knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Reading, writing, and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing, initial and renewal DOT physical, and criminal background check.
- Complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections on trucks per DOT regulations.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and turn it in daily.
- Take empty equipment to designated site in exchange for full equipment and other returns.
- Make store deliveries according to the shipping schedule.
- Ensure load is secured with proper instruments (straps, load bar).
- Unload truck and take product to designated area.
- Take empty trailers to designated site and exchange for full trailer to return to designated lot.
- Deliver trailers to merchants and pick up full trailers.
- Turn trailers in the yard as directed by management.
- Complete inventory pulls slips on each trailer moved and turn them in daily.
- Comply with DOT regulations.
- Keep truck and equipment clean and free of litter.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attend safety meetings.
- Work special events.
- Clean dock, outside shipping area, and around ADC locations.
- Work overtime (on short notice), holidays and weekends as assigned. Work in all weather conditions.
The role involves continuous standing and walking, moderate sitting and driving, frequent bending, squatting, climbing, lifting 50 lbs, occasional heavier lifting, simple grasping, and working in both warehouse and outdoor environments with exposure to hot and cold conditions.
