Job Overview
AAA Cincinnati is looking for dependable, empathetic individuals who enjoy helping others with services such as flat‑tire changes, jump‑starting batteries, and towing vehicles. Work will be outdoors under various weather conditions at the fleet location 800 West 5th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
Schedule:
3:00PM to 11:00PM. The 2nd‑shift schedule includes weekend work.
Base Pay: $21.00–$22.50 per hour, depending on position and experience. 2nd‑shift workers receive an additional 10% shift differential. Overtime and monthly bonus opportunities are available.
Responsibilities- Provide lock‑out, fuel delivery, battery jump‑starts and tire‑change services using established guidelines and quality control procedures.
- Provide tow and recovery services following guidelines (Tow Truck Driver position).
- Mobile Battery Technicians sell, install, test, and perform battery warranty services for members.
- Communicate with members to keep them informed and ensure their safety.
- Make sound decisions regarding the safe service of vehicles and accommodate member needs.
- Enter call information accurately into in‑truck technology, process payments, handle cash and complete required reports.
- Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure all are in safe operating condition and meet all requirements.
- Secure the fleet vehicle and all equipment at all times, even when not in use.
- Participate in special events (parades, television, radio, and social media) to promote the AAA brand as needed.
- At least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license for the state of residence and compliance with all state and local licensing requirements.
- Ability to pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation and/or company policy.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in an automotive or mechanical environment, technical school, or a minimum of 3 years in sales and/or customer service.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 75 pounds, bend, kneel, balance to change tires, inspect, and push vehicles, and use hand tools for service.
- Successful completion of pre‑ and post‑employment screenings, including criminal, drug, and motor‑vehicle screening.
- Operate passenger vehicles and light–medium duty trucks (manual or automatic) primarily from a service vehicle.
- Effective written, verbal, and email communication skills; proficient in the use of GPS technology.
- Complete required departmental training courses within 60 days of hire and additional future training as required.
