General Statement of Duties
The employee will work within the Neighborhood Operations Division (NOD) and be responsible for collecting yard waste within the City of Cincinnati limits. Collection is seasonal, typically from April 1 to December 31, and will continue in inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet, heat, or humidity.
Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be reliable, show initiative, possess a positive attitude, and maintain a strong work ethic.
- Must provide own transportation.
- Driver’s license required;
Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement preferred. - Must be physically fit and able to perform “heavy” to “very heavy” physical work, defined as: Heavy Work – exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25–50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10–20 pounds of force constantly; Very Heavy Work – exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly.
- Military education and experience may be considered for educational and experiential equivalency, on a case‑by‑case basis.
This is a seasonal position. Hours worked per day may vary and a 40‑hour work week is not guaranteed.
