Yard Truck Driver - Class A

Position

Earn $31.25 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours. Home daily.

• Move trailers in and out of the dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers as they are positioned for loading and unloading and when pulling from doors.

• Monday through Friday with Sunday work required.
• 10:00 PM start time.

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years in the past 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• English language proficiency required in compliance with federal law.
• Work the required schedule and at the specific location. Complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
• Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; must maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely. Must accept responsibility for own safety and the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. Requires use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lb (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lb (45 kg).
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
