CDL Class A Delivery Truck Driver

Position Overview

CDL‑A driver responsible for safely transporting food and food‑related products to customers across intrastate and interstate routes. The driver must adhere to DOT regulations while maintaining timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

• $77,000–$88,000 average base salary; potential earnings up to $90,000 annually.
• 4‑day work week (after training).
• Shift dispatch between 4 am–6 am start time.

• Communicate and respond to customers, vendors and coworkers professionally.
• Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post‑trip inspections and DOT‑compliant inspections.
• Report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company driving guidelines.
• Inspect and secure freight before departure.
• Count and verify merchandise against invoices.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.
• Load and unload cargo, including use of lift gate and other equipment.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to the scheduled route.
• Verify deliveries, obtain proper signatures, and collect payment when required.
• Secure trailers and surrounding equipment after each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.
• Record hours of service in compliance with Federal DOT and company requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL‑A license.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Comply with state licensing and certification requirements.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past 3 years.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass a road test.
• Hold a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one.
• Able to hand‑lift and operate two‑wheelers, lift gates, or similar equipment to move freight ranging from 10‑35 pounds up to 60‑90 pounds.
