Caruso is a family owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat, and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA and we are growing!

We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with occasional weekend work.

Job Summary:

The Dispatcher will work with Drivers to plan and assign delivery routes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plan and assign drivers to delivery routes
• Creates and communicates work schedules to drivers
• Communicate effectively with customers and vendors
• Understand processes and procedures and provide training and guidance to drivers
• Schedule Preventative Maintenance, inspections and washes for trucks and trailers
• Work with internal departments
• Serve as first point of escalation for drivers when issues arise
• Familiar with ELD technology (Samsara a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel Outlook, etc.)
• A CDL Class A license is a plus, but not required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiar with ELD technology (Samsara a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel Outlook, etc.)
• A CDL Class A license is a plus, but not required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Must have 5+ years of Dispatch/Customer Service experience
