We are seeking an early- to mid-career Inventory Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a high-volume clinical trial fulfillment operation. This role will focus on inventory management, inventory control, and materials management processes that ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient handling of clinical trial supplies within a fast-paced pick, pack, and ship environment. The SME will work closely with operations leadership, procurement, and floor supervisors to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize material flow, and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a subject matter expert for inventory management and materials control within the fulfillment center.
• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of inventory control processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure appropriate inventory levels, material availability, and efficient replenishment processes.
• Work closely with floor leadership to ensure proper inventory handling, storage, and movement across operational areas.
• Analyze inventory and operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
• Support compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements relevant to clinical trial supply operations.
• Participate in operational planning activities and cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment across materials management functions.
Qualifications:
• 3-7 years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, or materials management in a high-volume fulfillment, distribution, or regulated environment.
• Experience in clinical trial supply, pharmaceutical, or healthcare logistics operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory control best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations leadership, and floor supervisors.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
