PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Distribution and Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily leadership, coordination, and execution of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, and shipping operations. Reporting to the Department Manager, this position provides direct supervision of warehouse and distribution personnel while ensuring accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods. The supervisor works closely with Planning, Production, Sales, Quality, and external transportation providers to ensure inventory accuracy, on‑time customer deliveries, regulatory compliance, workforce effectiveness, and efficient warehouse operations.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS
  • Direct, assign, and oversee daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities to support operational and customer requirements.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse and distribution personnel, including work assignments, performance feedback, attendance administration, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Coordinate staffing, workload distribution, and daily priorities to ensure safe and efficient execution of warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Coordinate with 3PL providers and approved carriers to schedule ground, ocean, and air transportation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation, labels, and related paperwork for domestic and international hazardous and non‑hazardous shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with established ITAR, EAR, CUI, and other export/import control requirements related to shipping, receiving, inventory, visitor access, and international transactions.
  • Ensure required denied party screenings, shipping reviews, documentation controls, record retention, and compliance activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and U.S. Government regulations.
  • Serve as the primary warehouse liaison to the Empowered Official, Human Resources, Planning, Production, and other functional groups regarding export‑controlled materials, visitor access, foreign national considerations, licensing requirements, and compliance‑related matters.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis activities related to inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, service failures, and operational issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.
  • Maintain ownership of warehouse inventory accuracy through cycle count programs, inventory audits, transaction verification, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions and warehouse records are maintained within the ERP system.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard work instructions, warehouse processes, and material flow activities.
  • Lead warehouse organization, housekeeping, and 5S initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, inventory control, and space utilization.
  • Coordinate forklift training, certification, and safe operation practices for warehouse personnel.
  • Promote and reinforce a behavioral‑based zero‑incident safety culture while ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements including ITAR, EAR, DOT, DEA, FAA, IMDG, IATA, OSHA, and company procedures.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate departmental priorities, expectations, policies, procedures, and work instructions to assigned personnel.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
