Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while supporting daily production and warehouse operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper product rotation, and compliance with food safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products
  • Perform daily cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation
  • Track product lot numbers and expiration dates to ensure proper FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variances
  • Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled production
  • Operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, and inventory management systems as required
  • Update inventory transactions accurately within the inventory management or ERP system
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Follow all company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and workplace safety procedures
  • Perform other inventory, warehouse, and material handling duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or inventory management preferred
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures, cycle counting, and FIFO inventory practices
  • Experience using RF scanners, inventory management systems, or ERP software
  • Ability to safely operate pallet jacks; forklift experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and warehouse safety procedures
  • Ability to lift materials and perform physical warehouse tasks as required
