Coughlin Ford Of Circleville is currently seeking a few career‑minded Lube and Tire Technicians for our Quick‑Lane Service. As a Lube & Tire Technician at Coughlin, you will:

  • Lubricate vehicles – Apply lubricants to all moving engine parts.
  • Clean engines – Remove grime and apply lubricant to restore proper function.
  • Inspect vehicles – Perform comprehensive inspections, checking fluid levels, oil leaks, and other points of interest.
  • Inspect tires – Check tire condition and air pressure.
  • Change oil – Drain existing oil and replace with the correct type.
  • Replace filters – Replace engine air filters and oil filters.
  • Check electrical components – Test lights, horn, and other electrical items.
  • Make recommendations – Advise on further service based on inspections.
  • Follow safety procedures – Adhere to company safety practices, such as working in well‑ventilated areas and securing vehicles.

Education and Experience

Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Automobile repair experience.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Skills Requirements
  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping.
  • Ability to learn parts‑department inventory and ordering systems.
Communication Skills
  • Understand and follow instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Attendance Expectations

Requires regular, predictable in‑person attendance at the dealership. Scheduled shifts are typically five days per week, rotating Saturdays, and may include holidays. Service departments are closed on Sundays and open until 6 p.m. during the week.

Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, use hands, reach, and perform routine physical tasks in a vehicle environment with exposure to noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and power tools.
Verbal and Writing Ability
  • Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Present information effectively to customers and employees.
Math Ability
  • Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Reasoning Ability
  • Apply common sense to follow instructions and handle standardized situations.
  • Understand and follow technical manuals.
