Overview
Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) partners with schools and community partners to provide students and educators with a rigorous curriculum for 21st‑Century skills development.
PositionThe Reentry Facilitator is a trained ELA team member whose primary function is to facilitate programs at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility. The role involves delivering engaging, skill‑based programming to cohorts of up to 15 students over several months.
Responsibilities- Facilitate ELA Reentry programming within area facilities.
- Compile pre‑ and post‑survey data for impact reports and grant reporting.
- Build relationships with Reentry staff and provide updates on programming and program impact reports.
- Deliver reentry programming employing ELA divergent learning pedagogy, serving as a guide on the side.
- Manage classroom and participants during training by tracking attendance, addressing inappropriate behavior, and documenting performance.
- Administer pre/post assessments and develop program impact reports.
- Form and maintain relationships with students, motivating them and giving them confidence to make positive choices.
- Maintain open communication to report any potential and/or current issues with ELA Senior Leadership Team.
- Prepare program materials, including PowerPoint updates to reflect time and facility‑specific language.
- Participate in ELA training and professional development.
- Attend required ELA staff meetings.
- Work collaboratively and bring a positive mindset to teamwork.
- Creatively solve problems and bring new ideas for efficiency and growth.
- Collaborate with ELA staff on daily administrative tasks and special projects.
The part‑time position offers flexible, assigned hours conducted in person at the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility. Programming typically occurs during standard weekday business hours, usually between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Reports ToELA Head of Talent Acquisition.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in education or an associated field.
- Committed passion to making a difference in the lives of youth.
- Experience working with diverse populations of youth, preferably in detention centers.
- Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High energy and positive mental attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Maintains confidentiality of all student information.
- Adheres to the ELA curriculum with fidelity, as well as all copyright and trademarks.
- Desire to grow within the organization is preferred.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $28 per hour.
Background CheckA FBI-BCI background check is required for this role in addition to the Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility required background checking.
