A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking an Electrical Control Engineer to join its engineering team at a key production facility in Circleville, Ohio. This position will play a critical role in delivering both new installations and modifications to existing plant processes, supporting operational excellence across the site.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and communicate detailed project plans, translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Define project scope, obtain engineering and construction bids, and manage project approvals
- Oversee installation, coordinate system outages, and support commissioning and startup activities
- Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring delivery within agreed constraints
- Track and report project spend, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions where required
- Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of operational and maintenance issues
- Lead process control and infrastructure improvements, including power distribution systems
- Develop and implement training programs for operations and maintenance teams
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (including OSHA PSM and relevant quality systems)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in controls, DCS, or PLC systems within an industrial environment
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and process instrumentation (or willingness to develop)
- Exposure to SCADA, HMI, and historian systems (e.g., GE Proficy iFix) is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualise and deliver complex systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisation
