Control Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Project Controls Engineer to deliver electrical, automation and process-control projects at a major manufacturing facility in Circleville, Ohio.

You will manage projects from initial concept and scoping through design, installation, commissioning and start-up. These will include new installations, modifications to existing processes, plant power distribution and improvements to process-control infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on project engineering position requiring close collaboration with contractors, operations, maintenance, purchasing, vendors and EHS teams.

• Scope, engineer, design and deliver electrical and process‑control projects.
• Develop project plans and communicate them to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Produce scopes of work and obtain engineering and construction bids.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules and expenditure forecasts.
• Oversee contractors, construction activities and equipment installations.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns, system outages, commissioning and start‑up.
• Deliver process‑control, instrumentation, SCADA, HMI and plant power‑distribution improvements.
• Support operational fault diagnosis and maintenance troubleshooting.
• Ensure projects meet relevant safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Develop operating and training programmes associated with completed projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five years of experience with controls, DCS or PLC systems.
• Experience delivering capital projects within an industrial or process‑manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Allen‑Bradley PLC programming and industrial process instrumentation, or a willingness to develop these skills.
• Experience with SCADA, HMI and historian systems.
• GE Proficy iFix experience would be advantageous.
• Strong project planning, budgeting and contractor‑management capabilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder‑communication skills.

• Base salary of $85,000–$120,000.
