Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Location: Circleville, OH – Onsite
Salary: $85,000–$100,000 + 7% Annual Bonus
We are seeking an ERU Operations Specialist to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an Energy Recovery Unit (ERU) within an industrial manufacturing facility. This position will focus on preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, maintenance planning, contractor coordination, and plant improvement projects .
The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial mechanical equipment and utility systems , such as boilers, pumps, compressors, piping, valves, rotating equipment, or similar plant equipment.
Responsibilities- Administer and support the preventative maintenance program for ERU equipment and systems.
- Coordinate maintenance activities between plant personnel and outside contractors.
- Plan and coordinate semi-annual maintenance shutdowns/outages.
- Track equipment maintenance history, identify recurring problems, and help implement reliability improvements.
- Support troubleshooting and project engineering activities to improve equipment and plant operations.
- Review and maintain spare-parts inventory to help minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist with the maintenance budget, capital requests, cost tracking, and monthly variances.
- Support compliance with applicable environmental permits, safety requirements, and operating procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and training to ERU personnel.
- Conduct safety audits and contractor safety orientations.
- Serve as backup support to first-line supervisors when needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with 5+ years of mechanical, chemical, industrial, maintenance, utilities, or related manufacturing experience ;
OR - High school diploma/GED with 15+ years of relevant industrial experience .
- Experience with preventative maintenance, industrial equipment,
maintenance/reliability programs, and plant operations . - General knowledge of storeroom /spare-
parts systems, maintenance systems, and operating permits . - Ability to understand basic accounting principles related to maintenance budgets, capital requests, and cost analysis .
- Must be a U.S. citizen; no current or future sponsorship is available.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a State of Ohio Boiler Operator's License .
