Circleville, OH – Full time, onsite. Direct hire. Rotational shift schedule will be discussed with the Manager. Relocation available. Base Salary + paid OT.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Engineering Specialist to support the safe and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility's energy recovery and utility systems. As the Engineering Specialist
, you will oversee and guide shift personnel in the operation of the Energy Recovery Unit (EUR) kiln and associated systems.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial manufacturing, plant operations, maintenance, utilities, boilers, HVAC, steam systems, or related environments. This role serves as a technical resource for shift personnel, helps maintain critical plant operations, supports the safety of all team members, and maintains reliable production. Training is available for candidates who do not currently hold a Boiler Operator License but are willing and able to obtain one after hiring.
You will be onsite at the Circleville, OH plant and will report to the Manager Energy Recovery Unit.
Responsibilities- Support the safe and efficient operation of utility and energy recovery systems.
- Provide guidance and leadership to shift personnel during daily operations.
- Monitor equipment performance and respond to operational issues as they arise.
- Assist with material handling, inventory control, and process monitoring activities.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure reliable plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and operating guidelines.
- Maintain accurate operating logs, reports, and shift documentation.
- Communicate operational status and key updates during shift handoffs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Assist with training and development of operations personnel.
- Serve as a technical resource for plant utility systems and related equipment.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, maintenance, utilities, production, or a related industrial environment.
- Possess a Boiler operator's license, or have the willingness to obtain one; training provided.
- Experience working with industrial equipment such as boilers, steam systems, HVAC, chillers, utilities, kilns, or similar systems preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available now or in the future).
